Just in Time for Valentine's and Galentine's Days, Here Are My Suggestions for the Perfect Date Night in Madison
For the Girl's Night Out (aka Galentine's Day), I recommend the unique cocktails and killer vibe at Mint Mark. Then head to the square for an awesome dinner at the recently renovated Merchant and dessert (and more cocktails) at Lucille! Lucille's late night brings in DJs for a great dance party to end the night!
For the Adventurers, check out the classic hole-in-the-wall dive bar in Westmorland - Village Bar - try the Burger and don't forget the Fries. Next, head to the West Side staple, Ultra Zone, for some laser tag because "Why Not?" and end the night with drinks at the electric bar, Le Tigre Lounge, off Midvale.
For the Romantics, start with some ice skating at Monona RiverRink, right behind Husky Homes HQ! Rentals and cocoa are available right on site. After skating, head downtown to L'Etoile for the fanciest meal in Madison and stay there for desserts from Head Pastry Chef, Kristine Miller.
For a fun Double Date, start with dinner on the Square at The Old Fashioned. Let the OFs loosen you up for an escape room experience at Escape This! just off the square. After your successful escape, head over to The Robin Room on East Johnson for celebratory drinks!
I can't forget the homebodies! For an excellent and cozy date night at home, pick up takeout from Swad, my favorite Indian restaurant right in Monona. Pick up a cheeseboard and some vino from Cheesers in Stoughton, and set your Netflix to binge all three Lord of the Rings movies. You know which of these dates my husband will be into, right?
