Living in the Maple Grove neighborhood has been such a fantastic experience for my family. My wife and I moved into our house almost exactly three years ago. We didn’t move far from our previous home, but we bought with the hopes of raising a family here.
In the beginning, we didn’t meet too many new people—partly because we were still emerging from the COVID fog. But once our son, Taron, was born, the true value of this neighborhood started to shine through.
With a newborn (and now toddler), we spend a lot of time outside exploring. I’ve always loved to walk, so this change was a welcome one. What we quickly discovered is that within a mile and a half of our home, there are eight different parks with playgrounds! No matter which direction we wandered, we found a new place to play.
The best part? We began meeting other parents doing the same thing. Over the past two years, our circle of neighbors has grown into a circle of friends. One of our hopes was that Taron would get to grow up alongside other kids his age—and now that’s becoming a reality. We’re even hosting a pumpkin painting party at our house for the neighborhood kids we’ve met on our walks!
Another perk of Maple Grove is the convenience. We live within two miles of six grocery stores and a Target, which means we almost never have to leave the neighborhood.
When we bought this home, we hoped it would be the place where we’d plant roots, raise a family, and build community. Three years in, it feels like all of that is coming true. We’re grateful for Maple Grove—and grateful for what’s quickly becoming our forever home.
